Here’s a SUPERB Selmer Model 1492B composite oboe.
Selmer USA makes excellent student and intermediate oboes, and this is an excellent example of one of their fine intermediate instruments. The 1492 is great for the advancing oboist. The silver plated, basic conservatory key system with newly designed French arms is fluid, light to the touch and easily maintained. The addition of highly contoured cork pads make for a student level oboe with response like no other. Range to low B. This particular horn is in gorgeous condition. This oboe is ostensibly a display model, but I see no sign it has ever been played. Pads and action are perfect, and this oboe plays great as is.
